THE top three in the York Minster Engineering Football League premier division all recorded victories to ensure that the gap between the trio remains only two points.

Champions Old Malton St Mary's led 2-0 at the interval at Osbaldwick and, despite a scare following Andrew Bilton's goal for the home side, they emerged as 3-1 winners.

A hat-trick from Ian Beckram went a long way to helping Riccall United maintain their title push.

Further goals from Gary Collier (2), Gary Lumley, Liam Brown and Will Ramsay enabled them to demolish Easingwold Town 8-0.

Eight goals were also seen at York RI, and the lion's share were claimed by third-placed Dunnington as they strolled to a 7-1 victory.

Tom Richards (3), Matty Wain (2), Callum Richardson and Joshua Hutchinson were on target for Dunnington, with Leigh Dutton hitting the home side's reply.

Wigginton Grasshoppers moved up to fifth after goals from Tom Derbyshire, Jamie Green, Eddy Clapham and Luke Hall gave them a 4-0 success over Copmanthorpe.

Dringhouses also climbed the table after a 4-1 win at home to Terrington Glory.

Strikes from James Robinson and Dave Watson, plus a Wilson Briggs penalty, gave Houses a 3-0 half-time lead before Johnny Brown pulled one back for Glory. Watson's second completed the scoring.

The top three in division one also won.

F1 Racing's perfect start continued after Danny Penrose scored within a minute at Pocklington Town.

A George Trifan header increased the lead in the second period before Andy Anderson produced a neat finish to bring Pock back into the game.

However, a well-taken goal from in-form Chris Dempsey sealed the points for F1, who made it seven wins out of seven.

Simon Reeves and Scott Preston gave second-placed Malton & Norton a 2-0 home victory over Cliffe.

Third-placed Brooklyn had goals from Marcus Godsell and George Moore in a 2-1 win over Tockwith.

Total Sports United moved into fourth after two goals in each half gave them a 4-0 win over York St John University.

Ben Brannigan bagged a hat-trick in the win, with Amos Laverack also making the scoresheet.

Hemingbrough leapfrogged opponents Heslington into fifth as Luke Zacharenko (2) and Mikey Brown gave them a 3-1 victory. Chris Dixon replied.

St Clement's climbed away from the drop zone with a 6-2 win over Hamilton Panthers, for whom Scott Stewart struck a brace.
