TADCASTER Albion ended their barren run in Northern Counties East division one with a battling 2-0 win against Winterton Rangers.
The second-placed visitors, who included ex-Tad striker Steve Ward in their line-up, came unstuck in the mud at Ings Lane after Rob Ellis' header put Jimmy Reid's side ahead early on.
Albion defended strongly after that but needed some fine saves by Tom Ryder to keep Rangers at bay.
The points were sealed in the 65th minute with a superb solo goal by Guiseppe Downing.
