FOUR goals from Andy Kitchen propelled Tadcaster Magnets to the York Minster Engineering Football League division two title as they beat rivals Bishopthorpe 4-2.

Kitchen’s hat-trick swept Magnets into a three-goal lead before the interval and he took his tally for the season to 14 with a fourth goal, before Bishopthorpe hit back with two late goals from Ben Jones and Andy Haigh.

Osbaldwick were also promoted as runners-up.

Fulford’s Sam Harrison scored for the fifth game on the trot, but could not prevent his side going down 3-1 to Strensall.

F1 Racing were confirmed as division three champions after a 3-1 home victory over Selby Olympia.

First-half goals from Neil Yeowart and Andy Proctor started the celebrations, which were confirmed in the second half by Ben Storey.

The second promotion place is still up for grabs after the three leading contenders all lost.

Barmby Moor are favourites despite picking up only three points from their last five games. Their latest set-back was a 4-2 defeat at Ouseburn, where Richard Dwight (2), Ben Jones and an own goal accounted for the hosts’ goals.

Bishop Wilton remain a point behind Barmby but their winless run stretched to six games as they lost 3-0 at relegation-threatened Elvington. The Harriers scorers were Sam Martin, Alex Martin and Joe Parnell.

Struggling Crayke won 2-1 at home to Rufforth. Daniel Whitcombe’s opening goal for the visitors was cancelled out by a Tom Hilling header and Crayke’s second home win of the season was secured with a late goal from Alan Boyd.

Sporting Knavesmire won 4-1 win at Civil Service thanks to an Alistair Brown hat-trick.
