THE eagerly awaited top of the table clash in Leeper Hare York and District Football League division two was virtually all over inside the first ten minutes as hosts York RI went 3-0 up against Osbaldwick.

RI pushed on to win 7-0 with the goals shared between Nick Hutchinson, Lee Dutton, Darren Sellars, Shaun Stockdale (2) and Carl Welsh (2). It was Osbaldwick's first defeat in 22 games.

White Horse moved into third spot after winning 3-1 at New Earswick. John Marshall put the Church Fenton side in front but Pete Sinclair levelled two minutes later, only for Horse to gallop away with second half goals from Tom Hudson and Nigel Chester (penalty).

Selby RSSC's Matty Williams scored for the sixth game on the bounce but his side lost 4-2 at home to Post Office. Neil Holmes hit three for Post Office with Shaun Robinson adding their fourth.

Bottom club Civil Service looked to be on their way to their first win in 13 games as they led Moor Lane 3-1 at the break but two goals each from Andrew Kenyon and Paul Jones saw Lane win 5-3. Colin Palmer, John Hampton and Andrew Simpson netted for Civil Service while Ben Ovington hit the Lane's first-half goal.

John Thomas-Durrant scored the only goal of the game at Fulford as Huby won 1-0.
