TEA UPDATE: Tino Best has given Yorkshire a sniff of winning their County Championship match against Lancashire at Old Trafford.
The West Indian pace bowler has taken three wickets in the afternoon session of day four to help restrict the hosts to 94-4 from 30 overs at tea.
Steve Patterson has also claimed a wicket, but the Red Rose county have at least staged somewhat of a recovery from 42-3.
Lancashire’s hopes of chasing 305 from 68 overs were extinguished within nine overs because Best yorked Stephen Moore, had Simon Katich caught at third slip by Adil Rashid and trapped Paul Horton lbw.
Patterson trapped Mark Chilton lbw, but not before the right hander had shared 49 for the fourth wicket with Steven Croft (31 not out).
Yorkshire need six more wickets in the 38 overs left in the day.
