LUNCH UPDATE: Yorkshire’s County Championship match against Lancashire looks to be heading for a draw at Old Trafford.

The White Rose county have failed to get any momentum into their second innings on the fourth morning, and look like they will have to settle for the ten points for the draw.

The haul will take them one point clear of Nottinghamshire at the top of division one.

The visitors declared at lunch with their second innings standing at 215-7, leaving the hosts 305 to win from 68 overs. They have lost Anthony McGrath, Gerard Brophy, Rich Pyrah and Tino Best.

McGrath was trapped lbw by impressive leg-spinner Simon Kerrigan for 57 before the tidy Daren Powell later forced Brophy (23) to chip to Tom Smith at short extra cover.

The sixth-wicket partnership between Adil Rashid and Pyrah showed the most signs of attacking intent, but Kerrigan broke that when he bowled Pyrah.

Best then tried to smack the left-arm spinner to Cheadle Hulme, but was stumped by Luke Sutton.

Rashid has made his way to 46 not out at the break, while Azeem Rafiq has reached 13. There are a minimum of 68 overs left in the day.
