HAMPSHIRE have enjoyed a productive second morning session of batting against Yorkshire at the Ageas Bowl, with Liam Dawson posting his seventh career first-class hundred.
Only 70 minutes of play have been possible due to overnight and morning rain, and the relegation-threatened hosts have advanced from 219-4 overnight to 292-4 from 97 overs at lunch.
Fifth-wicket pair Dawson and Sean Ervine have frustrated champions Yorkshire, for whom the luckless Matthew Fisher has stood out despite not taking a wicket.
They have shared an unbroken 111 inside 28 overs, with Ervine 41 not out.
Dawson reached a 118-ball fifty shortly after play started at 12.20pm and his hundred came off 182 two balls before lunch.
