IN-FORM York Cricket Club opener Jack Leaning is primed for his LV=County Championship debut for Yorkshire against Surrey this weekend.
Leaning, who has starred for York in the Solly Sports Yorkshire ECB County Premier League, will replace England-bound Gary Ballance in the Tykes side after two days of the division one fixture at Headingley.
Ballance has been named in the England squad for their NatWest T20 series against New Zealand, which starts on Tuesday.
He will play the first two days of the Surrey game - tomorrow and Saturday - before Leaning, who has so far played one 40-over game for the county, steps in on day three.
