THE Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League’s six-a-side indoor winter competition has returned ‘home’ to Tadcaster Leisure Centre.

The league was suspended last winter due to the closure of the Indoor School at Dunnington, but the new season in now under way in Tadcaster – the base for the competition from 1985 to 2008.

There is also a new co-sponsor in Rudgate Brewery, have agreed to assist with funding for the indoor league and provide a trophy for the knockout competition, which will be known as the Rudgate Brewery York Senior League Indoor Knockout Competition.

The cup fixtures will take place in March after the completion of the league programme, which this year involves 12 teams each playing 16 matches.
