Division two leaders Crayke mounted one of the day's better run chases when they succeeded in overhauling Sewerby's score of 176-8 with their last pair at the crease.
Steve Foster 52 hit a half-century for the hosts and was well supported by Chris Briggs with 27, Mike Artley (26) and Robin Coates (32).
Coates then put in a fine spell of bowling, which earned him 5-24 and merited a place in the winning side.
But he was let down by his team-mates as 43 extras were conceded and, with Paul Hutchinson making 46 and ex-Raskelf player Andy Metcalfe 34, Crayke squeezed to a narrow victory.
