The highlight of a dull division five draw at Rowntrees was the appearance of a low flying Wellington bomber, which flew on a perfect line and length from wicket to wicket during Stamford Bridge's innings.

At the time of the flight, Stamford were making good runs as Brian Aconley (52) and Ian Fraser (51) compiled half-centuries.

Max Pimlott added 32, while young paceman Sam Bibby had 3-57 as Stamford reached 199-9.

Rowntrees opener Chris Todd witnessed the demise of six team-mates his makeshift team slipped to 45-6 in 19 overs. The opener then got pensionable support in a lengthy stand which lifted to total into the 90s before Todd fell for 36. His partner was able to continue his stubborn defence and remained unbeaten when the home side earned a draw at 107-8.

Dunnington's Mike Noble had 3-16 at Tadcaster Magnet, who were dismissed for 118. Andy Chipps saw his side to a seven-wicket win.
