Civil Service surrendered leadership of division four to Hull Zingari when they were held to a home draw by Patrington.

Matt Dixon hit 87 and Connor McKinley was unbeaten with 60 as the Patters reached 206-2.

Service moved to 80-1 but Nick Olney was forced to retire hurt on 39 with a pulled hamstring and partner Richard Wells (35) fell in the next over.

Graham Sherlock (37no) put Service in a position where they needed 17 off the final two overs, but they closed on 194-8.

Malton & Old Malton held on for a draw with Huby thanks to their last pair. Tom Piercy made 31 and Chris Cundall an unbeaten 48 as Huby made 181-8, with R Gaughan claiming 4-56 for Malton. S Harland then made 41, but S Dixon’s 4-36 helped reduce Malton to 130-9.

Hull Zingari had New Earswick’s last pair at the crease when the game ended in a draw. Zingari made 176-5, but M Johnson’s 26 enabled Earswick to hold out at 108-9.

An unbroken stand of 224 for the third wicket between Oliver Sugden (117no) and C Chafer (116no) saw Goole amass 261-2 against Drax.

Drax had an opening stand of 57 between Luke Edwards (28) and H Thomas (47) but then fell away to draw at 155-9.

There was a closely fought draw at Easingwold, where Fenner failed to match the home total of 189-7, closing on 178-5.

Martin Robinson hit 52, brother Alan Robinson 41 and Ronnie Alexander made 48 for the hosts.

Pickering number 11 Keiron Bowes hit 41 off 17 balls in a loss to Rowntrees & Huntington.

Entering the fray at 74-9, Bowes fell to leave Pickering all out for 125 and losers by 45 runs.

Rowntrees’ Jack Hugill followed an unbeaten 38 with a return of 6-26. Tom Shaw made 46 for the winners, while Nick Johnson hit 75 not out.
