MAT Pillans continued his excellent start to the Royal London one-day Cup with three wickets as Warwickshire were restricted to 270-8 batting first at Edgbaston.
Pillans claimed a career best 5-29 to help the Vikings beat Leicestershire at Emerald Headingley on Wednesday and returned 3-56 from eight here.
Tim Bresnan and Josh Poysden also picked up two wickets apiece, while captain Steve Patterson was typical frugal despite not striking.
Bresnan (2-27 from six overs) removed openers Ed Pollock and Dom Sibley with the new ball as the Bears, invited to bat, fell to 53-2 in the 10th over.
Patterson conceded only 14 runs in his first six overs and finished with 0-41 from 10.
Tim Ambrose led the way for the hosts with 77 off 108 balls, while Sam Hain added 40 and former Yorkshire all-rounder Will Rhodes 43.
But Yorkshire bowled and fielded expertly on what looks to be a decent batting surface.
Bresnan and David Willey only bowled 12 overs between them.
