DEFENDER Angie Pattinson’s late goal earned York City Ladies a 3-3 draw at Peterlee.
But it was a case of two points dropped rather than one gained with City, who had won their last three games to move a point behind table-topping Barnsley, playing against the North East Regional League’s bottom team.
Goals from Meg Bramham and leading scorer Vicky Back saw City forge into a half-time lead but poor defensive play saw the hosts take a 3-2 advantage going into the interval.
The visitors started the second half brightly with goal attempts from Sara Renfrew, Sam Lee and Back but then had Jenna Strain, pictured, sent off for two bookable offences.
Pattinson went on to level in the 88th minute but coach Dav Doone said: “It’s very disappointing to have most of the possession and only come away with a point.”
