BOSTON United’s reward for Saturday’s FA Trophy victory at York City is a second round home tie against the winner of tomorrow’s replay between Gloucester City and Cirencester Town.

Blue Square Bet North outfit Gloucester drew 1-1 against their Zamaretto League premier division hosts at the weekend and will be favourites to travel to York Street on January 15.

The Minstermen are now without a match on that Saturday but one option might be to bring forward their rearranged away trip to Histon by three days.

That match was switched to Tuesday, January 18 to avoid a clash with City’s FA Cup third round tie at Bolton Wanderers ten days earlier but, like the Bootham Crescent club, Histon fell at the first hurdle in the Trophy.

There may also be a need to rearrange future City fixtures with Mansfield, Luton and Cambridge, who are all due to take on Gary Mills’ men on days set aside for the Trophy, still in the competition.

But the away trip to Hayes and Yeading United on February 26 – the same day as the tournament’s fourth round – is safe with the Middlesex side having been dumped out 3-1 by Ebbsfleet.
