HIGH-FLYING York City beat Wrexham 2-1 at Bootham Crescent to notch a club record-equalling eighth successive victory.
The Minstermen matched the feats of the famous 1954/5 side with goals from Chris Carruthers and Richard Brodie.
Seconds after Brodie's 20th of the campaign, Wrexham hit back with a goal from Andy Fleming in the 82nd minute.
The win keeps City third in the Blue Square Premier table, five points ahead of Mansfield Town.
