HIGH-FLYING Kartiers were 5-4 victors over reigning champions Hamilton Panthers in the York Minster Engineering Football League premier division.

James Tweedie put hosts Kartiers in front but their advantage was quickly cancelled out by Mike McKenzie.

Tweedie restored third-placed Kartiers’ lead from the penalty spot on the half hour and, before the break, they went further in front through Macci Wolski.

After the interval, a brilliant individual goal by Paul King reduced the arrears and, on 70 minutes Mark Willoughby restored parity.

McKenzie’s second goal then put Panthers in front, but Kartiers threw Louis Blackwell into fray and he levelled with ten minutes to go before hitting a superb winner.

Huntington’s Danny Franks failed to find the net for the first time in ten games as Rovers lost 2-0 to Dunnington.

The win saw Dunnington return to the top of the premier division table.

Robin Bedford gave Copmanthorpe the lead at Riccall, but the home side responded with goals from Liam Brown (2), John Knowles and Pete Minto to win 4-1.

Two sides looking for their first win in three met at Wigginton, and it was visitors Tadcaster Albion who took the honours.

Goals from Phil Smith, Mike Walsh, Adam Fisher and Mark Pitts earned Albion a 4-0 win.

Poppleton were 4-0 victors over Dringhouses.

Jon Beech gave Poppleton the lead at the interval and second half goals from William Wallace, Adam Ferguson and Ben Janes eased them to a comfortable win.

Post Office extended their unbeaten run to 14 games as they moved to the top of division one.

They won 4-0 at Bishopthorpe with James Bonarious giving them the lead at the interval before second half goals from Mick Heeles, Danny Walton and Danny Adams confirmed their first double of the season.

A Nick Hutchinson hat-trick helped York RI maintain their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 success at Thorpe.

Danny Mustill’s lone reply for Thorpe was the first goal scored at home by the Nestlé4 side this season.

Andrew Metcalfe junior put Easingwold in front in the opening five minutes at Tockwith.

They held the lead until the last five minutes before Tom Ridsdill scored to salvage a point for the hosts.

Amotherby & Swinton were denied their first away win in six matches when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

The Ryedale side looked likely to take all the points when Tom Audsley put them in front four minutes from time.

However, the home side snatched a late equaliser through Harry Bryant.

Paul Noon, Paul Scaife and Kev Butler shared the Nestlé Rowntree goals in a 3-2 home win over Nestlé1 & Nestlé2.
