Hamilton Panthers are within touching distance of the Leeper Hare York & District Football League premier division title.

Panthers won 2-1 at Kartiers with two goals from Mark Woodward, either side of a Louis Blackwell goal for the hosts.

The only side that can stop Panthers taking the title are Old Malton, but they were held to a 2-2 draw at Dunnington.

Scott Sullivan’s 17th goal of the season gave the hosts the lead, but the Ryedale side were level before the break courtesy of an own goal. Dave Bell put Old Malton in front from the penalty spot, before Sullivan levelled with a spot-kick.

Wilberfoss guaranteed their top flight status with a 2-1 win at Tockwith despite falling behind to a Graham Hutchinson goal.

Tom Robinson levelled before the break and Rob Walker scored five minutes after the restart.
