Malton & Norton continue to be a thorn in the side of Hamilton Panthers as the Leeper Hare York & District Football League Premier League premier division leaders failed for the third time this season to beat the Ryedale side.

They could only manage a goal less draw at Malton.

It was the first time this season Panthers had failed to score in a league game and it was Malton & Norton’s fourth home draw from their last five home fixtures. However, Old Malton failed to capitalise on their neighbours efforts as they were held to a 4-4 draw at home to Dringhouses.

A sloppy back pass gifted Lee Bartlett the visitors’ opening goal and though Dave Bell, scoring for the fourth game on the trot, equalised from the penalty spot Dringhouses went into the interval in front when Gary Smith restored their lead.

Rob Pinder restored parity again but two goals from Danny Penrose put Dringhouses 4-2 in front before Old Malton drew level with goals from Ryan Cooper and Bell.

Huntington extended their unbeaten run to nine games after they defeated Poppleton 4-2, with all the goals coming in the second half.

Gary Mitchinson, Chris Dyson (2) and Wayne Scaife shared the plunder, with Poppleton replying through Will Wallace and a simple tap-in from Ben Janes.

Kartiers suffered their fourth consecutive away defeat as they lost 2-1 at Dunnington, Robert Chipps and Alex Lowe scoring for the hosts.

Riccall United comfortably won the top of the table clash in division one against York RI despite having Ben Olsen sent off inside the first three minutes.

The 4-0 win came courtesy of goals from Rob Wales, Daz Fawcett, Gary Collier and Dale Huntington. Amotherby & Swinton soared into second after a 1-0 win at Rufforth stretched their unbeaten away run to eight games, Mikey Brown who broke a finger early in the match, scored the only goal.
