THE FA Trophy Final between York City and Stevenage at Wembley will kick off at 2pm on May 9 so the game can be televised, the Football Association have told the Minstermen.

No further information about tickets is expected to be revealed until the finalists have held a meeting with Soho Square bosses in the next two weeks.

City, who outlined their voucher priority system yesterday, have also confirmed they are organising coach and rail travel packages for supporters which can be booked at the same time as purchasing match tickets.

The Minstermen have stressed fans using this service will help the KitKat Crescent club as any profits will go to them and not to an independent third party.

Meanwhile, dinner with Martin Foyle and the York City players could be the highlight of a South Coast Special weekend which will take in the Blue Square Premier matches at Weymouth and Lewes on April 24 and 26.

The club-organised trip will see supporters leave the ground on the morning of Friday, April 24 and travel to Weymouth for the match which kicks off at 7.45pm.

After the game, fans will be accommodated in a three-star hotel close to the Weymouth ground on a bed and breakfast basis for two nights.

On Sunday, the coach will transport supporters to Lewes for the final game of the season which kicks off at 4pm and then return to York afterwards.

The package also includes dinner with Martin Foyle and the players at the team hotel on Saturday night, subject to there being nothing at stake in the Lewes fixture.

The cost of the trip is £130 per person based on people sharing twin/double rooms or £149 per person based on a single room.

Supporters wishing to book should contact the club shop on 01904 624447 ext 4 and note that a 50 per cent deposit is required when booking. The final balance must be paid no later than Monday, April 20.
