THE 2024 Mr Q UK snooker championships are returning to York for another year.

Running from November 23 to December 1 in 2024, York Barbican will host the championships for a 19th time, following on from the event being held there this year.

First held in 1977, the UK Championship is one of snooker’s Triple Crown events. A spokesperson for WST (World Snooker Tour) said: "This has become the hottest ticket in town, particularly since we changed the format last year, which enhanced the atmosphere in the arena.

"We’ve seen superb matches already this week, including six which have gone to a deciding frame! And it will build towards an enthralling conclusion as the giants of the sport go head to head. Make sure you will be there next year as one of the lucky few to see the tournament unfold inside York Barbican.”

Tickets for next year's championships go on sale on Sunday, December 3, at 10am. To book, please follow the link here.
