YORK City manager Michael Morton has confirmed that Dan Pybus will miss Monday's match with Barnet.

Pybus was forced off-of-the-pitch with a calf injury in York's 3-0 defeat to Wrexham last Saturday.

The midfielder is now expected to be missing from action for the next 2-3 weeks, meaning he will likely miss City's matches with Barnet, Chesterfield, FC Halifax Town, Torquay Untied and Aldershot Town.

Ethan Ross will also be unavailable, after the goalkeeper suffered a second concussion injury of the season, as the club continues to monitor his progress in returning to the squad.

“Dan is just doing some gym work at the moment, I think he’ll be back on the training pitch on the back end of next week." Confirmed Morton.

“But it’s expected to be two to three weeks before he’s back in.

“Ethan’s just taking it on a daily basis.

"There’s some days where he’s feeling fine and then there’s other days where he’s still feeling a little bit sick.

"We’ve just got to make sure we monitor that and then make sure we get him into the right sort of state of mind and make sure he’s ready to go if he’s called upon from now until the end of the season. "

Other than injuries to Pybus and Ross, along with Nathan Thomas' long-term injury, Morton is expecting that there will be no other players unavailable for the Barnet clash.

“We’ve just had quite a physical training session today, so we’ll just have to touch base." Explained Morton.

"We’ve been rushing around today because we’ve had to change training venue, so I have to touch base afterwards and make sure everybody came through fine.

"From what we’ve seen, it isn’t too bad."
