YORK City midfielder AJ Greaves has completed a loan switch to Vanarama National League north side Spennymoor Town until the end-of-the-season.
Greaves, who has made five appearances for York this season, will depart the club in search of more regular game time after struggling to break into the first team this season.
The midfielder originally joined City on loan from Doncaster Rovers in February 2022, before making his switch permanent in the Summer.
Greaves has struggled for game time however, with his last Vanarama National League appearance being a four minute cameo in the Minstermen's 1-1 draw with Wrexham in early December.
Michael Morton hasn't included Greaves in his squad since taking over, other than York's 5-0 Isuzu FA Trophy triumph over Blyth Spartans, where he was again a substitution, but did struggle with a jaw injury earlier in the campaign.
Spennymoor currently sit in 11th position in the National League North, and are seven points adrift of Scarborough Athletic in the play-off positions.
