YORK City midfielder Olly Dyson made his international debut for the England C team with a 67th-minute substitute appearance.
Dyson, who have proven to be a crucial member of the York squad this season, had the pride of representing his country in England’s 1-0 victory over the Wales C team on Tuesday night.
A goal from Barnet midfielder Ryan De Havilland gifted England the win on the brink of half-time, in what was the fourth-ever meeting between the two sides.
Dyson was originally not involved in the final squad, but drop-outs meant that the City starlet was called up from the preliminary squad to feature in the friendly at Altrincham's J. Davidson Stadium.
It was a proud moment for Dyson, who has now made 34 appearances for the Minstermen this season and has notched in three goals, including a crucial goal in Michael Morton’s sides recent 2-1 victory over Yeovil Town.
