DAVID WEBB sees York City’s opponents for Tuesday, 7 February as a ‘good footballing side’, with Solihull Moors the visitors to the LNER Community Stadium (7.45pm).

York will be eager to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat, with the Minstermen resting nervously in 17th position, and just four points ahead of the relegation zone.

Solihull Moors, managed by Neal Ardley, also find themselves in ghastly form. With just one win in their last seven league matches, Solihull have slipped to 13th place.

“They’re a good footballing side to be fair.” Webb admitted.

“They’ve got some good players, their front two is one that York fans will be familiar with, with Becks [Mark Beck].

“You know what type he is, he’s big, strong and direct. [Andrew] Dallas playing off of him is again, very strong and lively.

“He causes problems and they’ve got some good footballing players but again they are a beatable side. That’s what we’ve got to go into, we don’t go in with fear.

“We know we’ve got challenges, we know what we’re going to oppose, they’re a good footballing side.

“But we’re fully confident that we can go in there, get a goal early and start to control and dominate the game. That’s our game plan.

“They’ve been up and down, in terms of their results and with the way they play. They’ve changed systems quite a lot.

Webb is also an admirer of Joe Sbarra, who was reportedly of Football League interest in January.

“He’s one of few players that are dangerous. So there is action to combat some of there more tactical threats, and to nullify Joe and among others the key players and to look at their strengths to turn them into weaknesses.”
