GLEN HENDERSON'S wife Janee has been appointed on the York City board as a business consultant.

Janee joined the York board as a director on December 15, the club's Companies House page has shown, although her appointment was not publicly announced by City at the time.

She becomes the fourth director on the club's board, alongside husband and chairman Glen Henderson, chief executive Alastair Smith and marketing director Mike Brown.

Janee's background includes roles as the co-founder, vice president and vice president of business development of Amazing Athletes, a youth educational sports programme.

She also remains the vice president of franchise development at Youth Athletes United, a youth sports and activitise franchisor.

Chairman Glen Henderson expressed his desire for Janee to join the board in early November.

Speaking to BBC Radio York, Glen Henderson said: "I’m going to put her on the board because she’s fantastic.

"She works her socks off and she knows exactly what she’s talking about and ran the other businesses with me.

“It’s a team effort and you need a good team around you in order to succeed.

"If you don’t have a good team, you’re struggling."
