MARCUS STOCK has joined London Broncos following his exit from York Knights.

York confirmed the departure of Stock earlier this week following four seasons at the Knights, during which time the prop made 78 appearances and scored 18 tries.

The 26-year-old becomes the second York player to depart to fellow Betfred Championship side London for 2023 after hooker Sam Davis.

Stock said: “London was always my local team to follow growing up and a move back down south to both play and be closer to friends and family was something I wanted to explore.

“This is a great opportunity for me and playing for the Broncos was a real goal of mine when I was younger.

"I’m looking forward to working with Mike (Eccles, director of rugby and performance) and his coaching team and experiencing their pre-season and strength and conditioning sessions which I’ve heard a lot about.

“I’m familiar with a few faces in the squad. Myself and Sam get on well and there are a few other mutual contacts which will make the transition from one team to another easier.”
