YORK City winger Maziar Kouhyar has been named in the Vanarama National League's round one team of the week.

Kouhyar scored York's opener in Saturday's 2-0 home win over Woking at the LNER Community Stadium, pinching a loose pass from Jim Kellermann in the visitors' half before producing a calm finish into the bottom corner.

The Afghanistan international played a key role in City's second too, beginning the clever corner routine which Michael Duckworth finished to wrap up the three points on the opening day of the season.

Kouhyar is named on the right side of a four-man midfield in the team of the week as part of a 3-4-3 formation.

National League round one team of the week: Nathan Ashmore (Boreham Wood), Callum Howe (Solihull Moors), Andrew Boyce (Scunthorpe United), Danny Collinge (Barnet), Elliot Lee (Wrexham), Josh Taylor (Dorking Wanderers), Jacob Butterfield (Scunthorpe), Kouhyar (York), Junior Morias (Dagenham & Redbridge), Macaulay Langstaff (Notts County) and Olufela Olomola (Wealdstone).
