THE ninth series of the charity-fundraising York Hospital Ball podcast is underway.
The podcast, which raises money for York Hospital Radio, features interviews with storied past players, managers and staff at York City.
The latest series sees thrice silverware winner Paddy McLaughlin, ex-captain Russell Penn, twice promotion winner Brian Pollard and 1973/74 third division promotion winner Graeme Crawford look back on their careers.
The podcast has broken into the top 100 of Apple’s football podcasts while the McLaughlin episode, which was released last week, has been downloaded in 17 counties thus far.
The Penn podcast was released on Thursday, while the Crawford and Pollard episodes will be available to listen to in the coming weeks.
York Hospital Ball’s interviewer Dan Tait said: "After a bit of a break, this has been another enjoyable series to put together.
“I tried to get something for everyone. Brian Pollard has been a popular request and interviewing him meant I could cover both the iconic periods of the 1970s and 1980s.
“Paddy McLaughlin enabled me to bring the series right up to the modern day.
“All four were a pleasure to speak to and I'm sure supporters young and old will enjoy the new episodes".
The York Hospital Ball podcast is available to listen to on Spotify, Apple, Google and Captivate podcasts.
