YORK City crashed out of the Setanta Shield with a 3-2 penalty shoot-out defeat by Northwich Victoria at KitKat Crescent.
Craig Farrell, Richard Brodie and Martyn Woolford all missed from the spot after the game had finished 3-3 after extra-time.
City led 2-1 in the second half of normal time after goals from Brodie and Woolford, but they needed a Brodie equaliser in extra-time to take the game to penalties.
