JACK MCKAY has joined newly-promoted Vanarama National League North side Buxton following his release from York City.
McKay joined York from Curzon Ashton in December and went on to play 18 times in the league for City, scoring three goals, as the Minstermen won promotion to the National League.
The winger was one of 14 players to be released at the end of last season by manager John Askey but has now found new suitors in Buxton, who won the Pitching In Northern Premier League premier division during the previous term.
The former Leeds United, Cardiff City and Doncaster Rovers man becomes the latest York player to move to Buxton over the past year, following on from Jason Gilchrist, Sean Newton and Mackenzie Heaney.
