YORK City Knights star Bailey Antrobus made his international debut as Wales fell to a 34-10 defeat in France.
Antrobus started in the back-row for Wales, wearing the number 12 jersey, alongside Huddersfield Giants second-row Chester Butler.
The Australian-born forward, who qualifies for John Kear's side through his father and grandparents, was unable to inspire the Welsh to victory on his international bow.
France tries from Ben Garcia, Mickael Goudemand, Eloi Pelissier, Benjamin Jullien, Morgan Escare and Julian Bousquet gave the hosts a convincing win at the Stade Municipal in Albi. Arthur Mourgue and Escare added two and three goals respectively.
Wales replied through Mike Butt and Dalton Grant tries, with Matty Fozard landing one conversion.
