YORK City will play in front of their largest home crowd in 20 years in Saturday's play-off final (3pm).

York have confirmed that all 7,500 available tickets for the Vanarama National League North play-off final against Boston United at the LNER Community Stadium have been sold.

All home tickets were sold out by early Tuesday evening, just over an hour after going on general sale, while Boston fans today purchased all the available 878 away tickets.

The news means that City will record its biggest attendance since the 2-0 fourth round FA Cup defeat to Fulham in January 2002.

The cup tie saw 7,563 fans pack inside Bootham Crescent to watch the then-division three (fourth tier) York on its best FA Cup run since 1986, before losing to Premier League side Fulham.

York would have beaten the crowd seen against Fulham 20 years ago had a 7,500 limit not been placed by the York Safety Advisory Group on the play-off final amid the crowd trouble seen after last week's win over Chorley.
