FORMER York City manager Gary Mills has departed Corby Town.

Corby's season in the Pitching In Northern Premier League midlands division (Step Four) came to an end at the weekend, with Town suffering a 2-0 defeat at Belper Town.

The loss saw Corby finish on a run of five matches without victory, suffering four defeats and drawing the other.

A Corby brief club statement read: "Corby Town Football Club can confirm they have parted company with the first team manager by mutual consent.

"We would like to thank the manager for his efforts and wish him all the best in the future."

Mills had two spells in charge at York, the highlight of which was securing promotion back to the Football League and winning the FA Trophy in 2012.
