YORK star Matthew Fisher has dropped out of the England side which takes on West Indies in the third Test at St George's, Grenada.

Fisher made his full debut in both senior international and Test cricket in the drawn second Test match against the West Indies at Barbados last week.

The Yorkshire star made an immediate impact for England, taking the wicket of opener John Campbell with just his second ball in the first innings.

That was the sole wicket Fisher managed to take in the Caribbean, as the hosts lost just 15 wickets over the five day's play.

The Sheriff Hutton Bridge product closed with match figures of 27 overs, six maidens, 71 runs conceded and one wicket taken.

Fisher, who profited from injuries to Mark Wood, Ollie Robinson and Craig Overton, will not take part in the third Test though with the latter now back to full fitness.

Aside from Somerset's Overton replacing Fisher, England have named an unchanged XI. The starting line up includes Yorkshire stars Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow while ex-Tykes ace Alex Lees continues to open the batting.

The drawn second Test was largely marred by a wicket which offered little to either bowling unit but captain Root does not expect the same scenario to unfold in Grenada.

He said: "I think we're looking forward to a wicket with a bit more grass on it, as all of our seamers will be. By all accounts that's what we're expecting here."

England Test XI: Lees, Crawley, Root, Lawrence, Stokes, Bairstow, Foakes, Woakes, Overton, Leach, Mahmood.
