YORK City could have as many as 1,000 away fans at next month's Buildbase FA Trophy semi-final with Bromley.

York were initially given 645 tickets for the cup clash at Hayes Lane but, due to the sizeable demand, the allocation has been increased from 800 and now to 1,000.

At the time of writing, City have stated that more than 800 away tickets have been sold for the highly-anticipated semi-final, with the winner set for an appearance at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, May 22.

The news of the demand for tickets follows on from the remarkable 848 York fans who travelled to East London for the dramatic quarter-final penalty shootout victory over Dagenham & Redbridge at the weekend.

York supporters have been advised by the club to purchase their tickets before booking travel to South East London.

Tickets for the match, which will be played on Saturday, April 2 (3pm), can be bought from Bromley's online ticketing system.

No tickets are being sold by York City as was the case for the Dagenham & Redbridge tie.

Once again, the club have confirmed that chairman Jason McGill has agreed to fund a reduction in price for the York Pullman bus to the capital.

The move sees the cost marked down from £50 to £15, with under-16 bus tickets priced at £10.

The coach will depart at 8am with pick-up points rom the Memorial Gardens, Acomb Front Street and the LNER Community Stadium.

Fans leaving from the Stadium can park for free at the Vangarde Shopping Centre, though should they first register through the York City website.
