YORK City have been drawn away at Bromley in the semi-finals of the FA Trophy.

The semi-final clash will be played at Hayes Lane on Saturday, April 2.

The game means that York’s Vanorama National League North game against Chester will be rearranged at a date as yet to be announced.

Prior to their recent quarter-final win against Dagenham & Redbridge on penalties, the Minstermen have beaten Blyth Spartans, Matlock Town, Slough Town, Morpeth Town on their journey to the semi-finals.

Their magical cup journey only compliments their domestic form. York are unbeaten in eight games in the league on a run that has seen them thunder into a play-off position.

Upcoming opponents Bromley are currently ninth in the National League, with up to three games in hand on teams above them and remain in the hunt for a play-off spot.

Bromley have beaten Dover Athletic, Aldershot Town, Tonbridge and Solihull Moors on their way to the semi-finals of the FA Trophy.

Should York win their game, they will be facing the winner of Wrexham v. Stockport County at Wembley on Sunday, May 22.

Reacting to the draw, interim manager John Askey said: “It could have been a little bit more glamorous, I suppose. We were looking for a home tie, ideally.

“But we’ve just got to the stage now where we’re just really pleased to be in the draw.
“We’ve got to there and give it our best shot.”
