FORMER York City manager Russ Wilcox has returned to first-team management with fellow Vanarama National League North side Farsley Celtic.
Wilcox was sacked by York in October 2015, with City on a run of nine matches without a win in League Two and falling to the first of back-to-back relegations that season.
Since departing from the Minstermen, Wilcox has worked behind the scenes in recruitment at Preston North End, Southampton and Doncaster Rovers.
He has also served in the backroom staff at Sheffield United and in the youth set-ups for the Northern Ireland national team and Scunthorpe United.
Wilcox is now back in the managerial hot seat at Farsley, succeeding Neil Ross, who left after less than three months in charge.
Farsley currently sit bottom of the National League North and are on a run of nine winless matches.
Celtic's last triumph came in the FA Trophy against lower tier Stalybridge in late November.
York are set to come up against Wilcox's side at The Citadel on Saturday, April 30.
