DUNNINGTON made the most of their game in hand on York Minster Engineering League premier division leaders Wigginton Grasshoppers, defeating Strensall Tigers 3-0 to move to within two points of the summit.

Tom Anderson bagged a brace and Samson Wildwood fired the third to seal the points for Dunnington.

Old Malton St Marys sit nine points from the top but have a game in hand on the two teams above them following their 5-0 success at Hemingbrough.

However, a crazy period saw Crayke draw level by the 74th minute before conceding the eventual winner four minutes later.

Lewis Shepherdson bundled the eleventh goal of the game over the line to hand Barmby Moor a 6-5 win.

In the YMEL Reserve 'A', Dunnington and Huntington Rovers continue to go stride for stride at the top after both recording comfortable wins.

Dunnington put eight past Rufforth United without reply with their goals coming from Harry Blackwell (3), Finlay Smith (2), Simon Castle, David Thompson and Abubaker Ndikumana.

Huntington Rovers remain level on points following their 7-1 success over Tockwith.

Dan Marshall bagged four and Lee Bunce three to ensure that Rovers remain behind the leaders on goal difference alone.

Pocklington Town suffered a 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Thorpe United. Pock’s tally came via a Jason Nattrass strike and an own goal.

Stamford Bridge pulled off the shock result of the weekend, defeating Reserve ‘B’ leaders Rawcliffe. Luke Bailey and Michael Smith (2) found the target for the visitors with Robbie Macaulay and Liam Smallwood netting for Rawcliffe.

Cameron Loftus hit a hat-trick for Osbaldwick in their 6-0 victory over Copmanthorpe. George Rayner, Louis McMaw and Dan Price also made the score sheet.

Adam Knipe (2) and Tom Charlesworth fired Tadcaster Magnets to a 3-1 win over Fulford United, for whom Oliver Taggart bagged a consolation.

Calvin Steel and Ali Conway netted for Garforth LG in their 2-2 Reserve C draw at Selby Olympia.
