YORK City Under-19s came from behind to draw 1-1 away to title contenders Guiseley at Nethermoor Park.
Max Ezard scored a stunning second-half goal to cancel out Guiseley's opener from the penalty spot on the half hour mark.
The result leaves York fourth in the National League U19s Alliance League north division, nine points behind division leaders Solihull Moors, having played one game fewer.
It was a more-than-creditable point for Tim Ryan's side given that Guiseley sit second in the table, having lost just once from nine league matches this season.
The hosts made a strong start and saw a free-kick curls over the crossbar before Maison Campbell was called into a one-on-one save with his feet.
Guiseley capitalised when City were punished for handball and the West Yorkshire club converted from 12 yards.
Campbell's low save ensured that York trailed by just one goal at half time.
The Minstermen responded well after the break as Josh Knowles and Luke Jones both went close.
After a couple of Guiseley chances, York levelled matters through Ezard, whose long-range strike from distance found the back of the net.
Late on, Kyle Lancaster shot just wide of the post from the edge of the area as City pressed for a winner.
York City: Campbell, McLoughlin, Haase (C), Algar, Dale, Cunningham, Lancaster, Ezard (Heaton 87'), Jones (Gordon 53'), Knowles, Clayton.
Subs not used: Pickles, Hogan.
