KIERAN DIXON has signed a permanent deal with Leigh Centurions following his departure from York City Knights.

Dixon was one of 14 players to depart from York over the off-season, having joined the featured for the Knights during the 2021 season.

The former Hull KR and London Broncos winger featured 20 times for James Ford's side last year, scoring 10 tries and 76 goals.

The 29-year-old joined Betfred Championship promotion rivals Leigh on a trial period after leaving the Knights and has now penned a permanent deal with the Centurions.

Dixon told Leigh's official website: “I am delighted to be playing in a full time environment again and to sign for Leigh Centurions.

"I have been here a few weeks and wanted to prove myself.

"There is a great team spirit here and I am really looking forward to pulling on a Leigh Centurions jersey and helping the club succeed."
