THE York City Supporters' Trust say they have taken the "difficult decision" to postpone their 2022 AGM until May.

The Trust had planned to host the AGM at the Huntington Sports and Social Club on Tuesday, January 25 but have now opted to delay the meeting.

The decision comes amid the uncertainty surrounding the spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus as well as the rearrangement of York City's Vanarama National League North fixture against Bradford (Park Avenue) on the aforementioned date.

A statement by the Trust read: "We are currently making arrangements to rearrange the AGM as part of a Family Fun Day after the end of the season.

"We hope that the event will largely be held outdoors in the sunshine for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.

"The date and further details will be announced in the coming weeks.

"Members will be sent further details in due course."

The Trust have confirmed that the board elections will form part of the rearranged event in May.

Nomination forms will be made available on the Trust website in March.

The formal AGM also includes provision of the accounts to its members.

The accounts for the year ending June 2021 can be viewed at www.ycst.org.uk/downloads and will be filed with the Financial Conduct Authority.

The organisation have also promised to make a "number of exciting announcements in the coming weeks."
