YORK City have been given a home tie against Morpeth Town in the fifth round of the Buildbase FA Trophy.

The fixture will see the two clubs meet for the third time this season after two clashes in the FA Cup back in October.

In the first meeting, Morpeth held York to a 1-1 draw at the LNER Community Stadium as a Ben Sayer header equalised after Mark Beck's first-half opener.

City were convincing 3-1 winners in the fourth qualifying round replay, with Kurt Willoughby's hat-trick inspiring the Minstermen's victory.

The latest pairing of the two clubs will take place on Saturday, February 12 and will result in York's scheduled home fixture against Curzon Ashton in the Vanarama National League North being rearranged.

York will earn £6,000 in prize money if they are to progress, while defeat would see them receive £1,750.

Should City see off the Pitching In Northern Premier League premier division outfit, they stand just two wins away from a return to Wembley Stadium in the final of the competition.

John Askey's side will again enter the match as favourites, with Morpeth currently 12th in the NPL premier division and, on points, closer to the relegation places than to the play-offs.
