ATLANTA continued their quest for the Fastpack Ltd York Sunday Morning League title with a commanding 6-1 victory at Bramham.

The win moved the Beckwithshaw based side three points clear of Haxby Town at the top of the division one table.

Scott Johnson (2), Dan Paterson, Tom Burnett, Sean Robinson and Sean Corbett shared the Atlanta goals.

Malt Shovel climbed up to third thanks to a four-goal haul from hotshot striker Callum Petch. Sam Phoenix hit a fifth for Shovel as they claimed the scalp of local rivals Thorpe United via a 5-2 success.

The Nag's Head finished the stronger of the teams in their game with Pollington Predators, winning the second half 3-2. Unfortunately for the hosts, they had found themselves trailing 4-1 at the break, and so suffered a 6-4 loss to Pollington overall.

Mark Baggaley hit three goals for Predators in the win, with Mike Beeby getting two and Oliver Brennan one.

There were goals galore in division two, with the nets rippling 36 times across the four games played.

K-Town United leapfrogged York Medics into second place in the table, scoring six goals in the second half to cruise past Rawcliffe United in an 8-1 win.

Liam Edmondson (4), Joseph Garrard (2), Thomas Drake and Jamira Adams hit their goals, with Kieran England netting a 40th-minute consolation for the visitors.

Medics themselves were on the wrong end of a high-scoring 8-5 defeat to Strensall Tigers. Oliver Kilvington and Cameron Edmondsen bagged hat-tricks for Tigers, with Alex Forbes and Lewis Inkster also finding the target.

Robbie Britland, Will Ella, Lauend Brouska and Haaris Ahmed struck for Medics.

Two efforts from Callum England and an own goal were not enough to hide Thorpe United Blue's defensive frailties as they were sunk 6-3 by Heworth Inn.

Burton Leonard moved up to sixth with a 4-1 win at FC Pollington.
