DISCUSSIONS are ongoing with Burton Albion over an extension for York City’s on-loan midfielder Kieran Wallace.
Wallace’s short-term deal from the League One club expired on January 3 but City’s interim boss John Askey is keen on keeping hold of the 26-year-old for a bit longer.
Askey will be retaining Mitch Hancox, whose loan from National League North rivals Hereford has been extended to the end of the season.
The status of Remy Longdon’s loan from Lincoln City remains unchanged, with the winger set to remain until the end of January.
Young midfielder Archie Whitfield and striker Reon Potts have both returned to the Minstermen from their spells with Ossett United.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ryan Whitley will stay at Scarborough Athletic until the end of the season now that his loan has been extended.
Lewis Cunningham and Luke Jones remain set to stay at their loan clubs (Warrington Rylands and Pickering Town, respectively) until later this month.
Striker Mark Beck has already returned to League Two parent club Harrogate Town.
