CHARLIE CRESSWELL is of interest to Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United, according to a national newspaper report.

Cresswell, who grew up in York, has enjoyed a breakthrough season with Leeds United this term, featuring four times in the Premier League for the Whites.

The England Under-21s centre-back has also played twice in cup competitions in 2021/22, after making his senior debut in September 2020.

According to The Sun, Cresswell is "on the radar" of Liverpool and Manchester United, with Leeds "fighting to keep" the centre-back.

The 19-year-old is under contract to Leeds until the summer of 2025 but, as stated in the report, could be sold at the end of the season should United suffer relegation.

Cresswell is the son of former York City striker Richard Cresswell who played over 100 times for the Minstermen across two spells.
