YORK City's Boxing Day trip to Bradford Park Avenue has been called off.

The National League North fixture was lost to "adverse weather conditions" the hosts said.

A video on Twitter taken late on Sunday morning by BBC Sport North Yorkshire confirms the poor conditions, with the Horsfall Stadium pitch covered by a blanket of pristine snow and heavy fog hanging overhead.

Sweeping away the snow was not an option, the club said, as it would also wipe away the 4G granules on the pitch.

The game will be rearranged.
