YORK City have been drawn at home to fellow Step 2 side Slough Town in the fourth round of the FA Trophy.

The tie is scheduled be played on Saturday, January 15.

City's National League North game at home to AFC Telford United will thus be rearranged.

Slough currently sit 13th in National League South with just one defeat from their last eight games.

The Rebels made it past the third round of the Trophy with a 3-1 win at home to Eastbourne Borough, who occupy 11th spot in National League South.

York underwhelmed in their 1-0 win at Matlock Town on Saturday and will know they will have to be sharper against a team at the same level of the National League System as them.

Boss John Askey, when asked whom he wanted to draw, was sanguine.

“You always look for a home draw against a team a league or two below,” said Askey.

“But whoever we play on the day, if we play to our best, we’re more than a match.”
