CITY of York Men I extended their unbeaten run to six matches after overcoming Sheffield University Bankers I 5-2.
Alex Cockram scored twice for City of York while Bertie Linnel, Danny Ellwood and Rob Bradley-Consitt were also on the scoresheet.
The club’s V and X Badgers sides were the only two other successful men’s teams in the latest round of action, defeating Halifax II 2-0 and Huddersfield Dragons 3-1 respectively.
Halifax I beat York IV 5-1 while Thirsk II convincingly dispatched York VIII 5-0.
York VI lost 4-1 to Leeds Adel IV and Ben Rhydding IV won 2-1 against York VII.
Meanwhile, City of York Ladies also had a difficult run of fixtures, with just one of their six outfit proving victorious.
The club’s over-35s side won 3-1 at Boston Spa while there were draws for York I against Morpeth I (0-0) and York III away to Tadcaster Magnets I (1-1).
City of York II, IV and VI lost to Rotherham (1-3), Scarborough II (0-3) and Tadcaster Magnets II (1-2) respectively.
