TADCASTER Albion have fallen to successive league defeats after losing 2-0 at Yorkshire Amateur, writes Olly Wood.

Having lost 4-0 at Stockton Town last time out, Tadcaster were unable to get back to winning ways and now sit just three points above the Pitching In Northern Premier League east relegation zone.

Harrison Davison-Hale returned in goal for Tadcaster and was the busier of the two goalkeepers throughout.

Just after the opening quarter of an hour, Yorkshire moved ahead. A free kick caused problems in the Tadcaster box and Stevie Crawford fired a deflected effort past Davison-Hale.

Tadcaster came close to a reply when Corey Roper volleyed narrowly wide while Donald Chimalilo struck the bar.

Albion were punished when Adam Priestley finished a Yorkshire scramble after Ross Duggan had a penalty saved.

Elsewhere in the division, Pickering Town came out on the wrong side of a seven-goal thriller at Mill Lane, with Lincoln United prevailing as 4-3 winners.

Billy Logan's first-half goal and a brace from Ben Clappison were not enough for the Pikes as United struck through Matthew Cotton, who scored a hat-trick, and Andy Janssen.

Pickering find themselves bottom of the NPL east table as a result and face a tough trip to top-of-the-table Marske United tomorrow evening.

Meanwhile, in the Northern Counties East League division one, Selby Town's match at Rossington Main was abandoned at half-time due to heavy rain.

The game was finely poised at 1-1 by the interval with Selby have responded to Tyla Bell's strike when Dan Davison scrambled in a corner.

Selby have said that the match will be rearranged for a midweek date which has yet to be announced.
